Employee Spotlight: Cameron Tipton

Cameron is an associate at Barrett & Farahany’s Birmingham office. Cameron earned her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served on the managing board of the Alabama Law Review as web editor. She was also a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board, and she assisted with two of the school’s competition moot court teams as a research assistant. Before going to law school, Cameron attended the University of Alabama for her undergraduate studies, earning a B.A. in Journalism and English and graduating summa cum laude. While in school, she was a writer, editor, and designer for various publications and volunteered with READ Alabama, a reading initiative for elementary and middle school students. Cameron gravitated toward employment law because she wanted to make sure that workers’ voices are heard. “We spend a lot of our lives in the workforce, and there’s so much to learn about the laws that protect us there,” she said. “When someone has their rights violated at work, it can be so jarring and disruptive. I wanted to help protect those rights.” She enjoys working on the Barrett & Farahany team because everyone shares her commitment to fighting for clients.
